SNOWmageddon

This morning we woke up to a winter wonderland... 6 whole centimeters!!!!! It is beautiful!

Veronica has been really sick so we did not take her out but brought snow to her. She did not know what to do with it. We have all been standing  at the window watching people crowd the streets, have snowball fights, build a snowman, toboggans have magically appeared with children in full snowsuits, and of course, watching smart cars not only get stuck but slide around. Cars are not supposed to be out unless they have chains on them. ehem... their tires (thank you Mike for pointing out that people might be confused and think cars needed to be wrapped in chains before going out...).

It was mayhem at the grocery store! All three cashiers were working and there was NO produce. Seriously, only the rotten or not so fresh stuff was left. No milk, no bread, in the bakery or on the shelves, booze flying off the shelves... It was really weird to be in a partially empty grocery store.

This was the largest snowfall in Rome since 1986. We have now lived in Quebec City when they had their largest snowfall in 50 years, and now Rome. Is it us??
