Today Mike and I had a date! We put Veronica to bed at 11:30 and then we ran out to go have a nice lunch and really celebrate Mikes Phd and my Pht!!
It was wonderful! We had a delicious Italian meal complete with Buffala cheese to start, a pasta, and then meat - I had lamb and Mike had "Little Cock" - as was written on the menu.. along with "Little Cock" there was written "Grilled Board" and "Filled Stake"...hmmmm.. maybe next time!
Along with the wonderful food we had a bottle of this pink champagne which was quite nice.
On the way home we stopped off for a coffee and bought another bottle of champagne - Ferrari! It was 21 degrees and sunny out and we decided to have a drink on the balcony. When we arrived home Mum and Veronica were happily playing! We chatted with them for a bit and then headed out to the balcony to finish our date. Unfortunately I did not like the champagne so Mike had to finish the celebration on his own...he didn't mind!!!
It was so nice to have time just the two of us. Neither of us thought or worried about Veronica because her Nona (grandmother in Italian) was with her. We can't wait to have another date when Mr.Gramps and Grandma come for a visit in May!!!
