On Mums last full day in Rome we had a wonderful outing to Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. The night before had not gone very smoothly with Veronica up alot and for a long time. Mike and I even tried having her sleep with us in hopes she would sleep longer but no luck. That morning we waited until after her nap to head off. We went to Trevi Fountain first. We threw coins in and tried to enjoy its beauty... us and 500 of our closest friends!! It was packed and all I could think of was... it is off season in Rome right now!!! AHHHHHH!!!

From Trevi Fountain we walked to the Pantheon. What a wonder! I have seen it before but it still manages to blow my mind! It proved to be too much for Veronica and she promptly fell asleep.

After walking around looking at the surrounding area and sculptures we had a late lunch, earl supper, at one of the restaurants directly in front of the Pantheon. It was lovely having our last meal together looking at such a striking building.

It sounds like you've had a wonderful visit! It looks like you're way out in the country waiting for the bus...does it feel that way?
ReplyDeleteit only feels like that when it takes over an hour for the bus to come. The buses are not always consistent.
