Christmas Cheer!

Thanks Catherine for fixing the red eye and adding the caption!
Christmas weekend is over but we are still relishing in our wonderful weekend together!

Our Christmas celebrations began on friday night with some fresh Christmas bacon (baking) from Burlington, Ontario and the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". I had never seen the movie and thought it was, for lack of a better word, WONDERFUL!! It was a great way to get into the spirit of Christmas!

Christmas mornning dawned bright and early at 5:30 in the morning. little miss was up and not ready to go back to sleep! I tagged Mike in and went back to bed. He got V back to sleep and came back to bed also... for another half an hour. By this time it was about 7:30 am and we decided to get up, open the champagn and eat the rest of the Christmas bacon while opening presents!

Mike and I don't  usually get each other presents but will get something for us to do together, last year we saw Cirque de Soleil.. This year we are going to GREECE!!! When we got back from Veronicas doctors appointment we were so happy we thought, how can we celebrate? By going to Athens! We leave Jan 4th and come back on the 9th. Very excited. Since Veronica is so young we didn't go all out for her, also we just bought her a crib and changing table. We did get her a mobile for her crib since we had to leave behind our other one.

Veronica also recieved a musical toy and some home made clothing! She had a good time opening the presents... Ok she is a bit young to actually open the presents... Mike and I helped her but she was able to grab the paper and try and shove it in her mouth! She then would get upset that we wouldn't let her eat the paper!

Throughout the day Veronica had a variety of Christmas outfits. A onsie, a sleeper, an outfit with a gorgeous frilly shirt... She managed to stay in them for most of the day but then when the afternoon hit, she managed to poop through them all in about 2 hours. She even managed to poop on the floor. Merry Christmas to us!
The rest of the day was spent taking naps, watching Christmas movies, talking to family and friends, and cooking!!! I managed to pull off cooking a nice big chicken, stuffing, and roast(ish) potatoes! It was a wonderful day!!!
