Tricks!

My Dumpling!

Since we have moved in, I have had a head cold. It never occured to me that when you have a baby you can't just lie around, sleep and get better when you are sick.. As a compromise, Veronica and I spent the majority of our day in bed gazing at each other. This gave us time to rest up, as it took her a few days to recover from her early mornings and busy days and, time for her to work on some of her new tricks.

What tricks are these you ask? Well.... As you can see in her video she is learning how to make the bbbbrrrrrrr sounds with her lips. And yes, she is sitting up on her own in the corner of the sofa! Along with these sounds we often just lie and make noises at each other. She now also reaches up with both hands and touches my face, hair, grabbes my glasses and just likes to hold on to me. It is sweet. we bond.

The other tricks she is practicing is her ability to role over. I don't know when babies are supposed to be doing this but she is trying her hardest! She can sort of role onto her side and then doesn't know what to do! It is funny to watch. With her practicing this she also scoots all over the bed - floor - crib - wherever she happens to be. With this she is also discovering her feet... grabbing them and starting to pull them up!

How I put her in
A couple of minutes later

And finally... her little laugh! I haven't been able to get it taped yet but she has different ones... She has a throaty laugh where she almost sounds like she is choking and a high pitched giggle/squeel. The greatest sounds ever!

Still in love with her tongue!

  2. She's so much more expressive. It's clear she enjoys her body! Rolling over, holding feet, laughing?? Amazing.
