Thursday, Friday, Saturday in Greece

Thursday

This was our toughest day. Veronica had been getting up alot the night before and we were really tired. we finally dragged ourselves out to the old acropolis. This was lovely. We wandered around, went to a museum and then another temple. After the temple we walked along a road filled with restaurants and people eating outside. We stopped off and had a couple of appitizers and a drink. Veronica happily sat and flirted with every person passing by! once we finished our meal and started walking Veronica decided she was hungrey and screamed until I sat on a step and nursed her. People sure enjoyed watching! That night Veronica fell asleep at 6:30!!! YAY!! We all finally had a good sleep. She slept for 13 hours only getting up 3 times to eat.

Friday

We booked tickets to go see Posidens Temple which was and hour and a half outside of Athens. It was a beautiful drive along the coast. The water as green and sparkly, we were able to see some islands and lovely scenery. Once there we only had an hour to look around. It was really beautiful and peaceful. I am amazed by how people actually built these temples on these huge hills. When we got back to the hotel we sat in the bar for a couple of hours just eating, drinking and talking. It was so nice just the three of us hanging out on a sofa with comfy chairs. Mike ordered me a drink - the hotel specialty... it was - Gin - Tequila - Countro - Grenadine and a bit of lemon... Ugh... Needless to say I only had two sips and then Mike drank the rest!!!

On our last day we decided to take it easy and just walk around. We went to see Zeus's Temple, the original Olympic stadium, walked around the gardens some more and then went out for a nice last dinner. It was a lovely day again. We did a little shopping and got Veronica a dress she will eventually be able to wear. As we bought the dress we told the woman we were looking for a nice place to eat and she sent us to a restuarant and payed for our first drink. The restaurant was delicious! And so concluded our trip. we got up early Sunday, had breakfast, took a cab to the airport and came home with no problems!!
